Breast and Chest

Breast Augmentation

Breast Enhancement or Augmentation Mammaplasty is one of the most popular surgical procedures requested by women of all ages.  It involves the placement of an implant behind the breast tissue of each breast or the underlying chest wall muscle.  Breast Augmentation gives patients a larger, fuller figure that they desire.

Women may choose to under go breast enlargement surgery for various reasons. These personal reasons may center around breasts, which are perceived to be underdeveloped, or because of differences in the sizes of the breasts, or from changes after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or aging. Some women may be happy with their breasts but just want them made fuller. Breast enhancement using breast implants can give a woman more proportional shape and may improve self-esteem.

Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction, or Reduction Mammoplasty, involves the removal of fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts that makes them appear smaller, lighter and firmer.  Reduction of the size of the areola, the darker skin around the nipple, can also be done.
Patients who undergo breast reduction surgery are frequently seeking relief from physical symptoms, such as back and breast pain, and bad posture, caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. The objective here is to give the breasts a better shape and restore proportion to the body, giving the patient self-confidence and freedom.

Breast Lift

Breast lift surgery, also known as Mastopexy, involves restoring a more youthful look to a woman’s breasts.  Loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding ultimately affect the shape and firmness of your breasts. Patients who are generally satisfied with the size of their breasts can have a breast lift to raise and firm them, resulting in a more youthful breast contour. Some patients may be unhappy that they have lost a significant amount of breast volume over time. In such cases, implants inserted in conjunction with a breast lift can increase breast size at the same time the shape and position of the breasts are enhanced.

Nipple Reconstruction

A plastic surgery procedure to recreate the nipple complex on the breast. This is generally done by free grafting skin from another area of the patient's body onto the nipple area of the breast. In order to match the color of the nipple on one or both of the nipples tattooing may be used. This procedure is usually done in the final stages of breast reconstruction, at least three months after the Breast Reconstruction surgery, to wait for the swelling to subside and for the reconstructed breast to "settle".  Also, this will allow the surgeon to place the nipple on the right location to match the nipple of the other natural breast.
