How we do it?

Here is a guideline of the basic planning and booking procedures for Medical Travel:

Stage 1 : Procedure and Budget Consultation

• Please fill out the Contours online questionnaire regarding the type of package that you are interested in.  Based on this information we will be able to give you an estimate on the cost of the medical travel package at this time based on the procedure and the type of accommodations you wish to have.

• A Contours Personal Agent will reply to your inquiries within 48 hours, except on weekends and holidays. All your questions will be answered to give you as much information as possible to help you make a well-informed decision on coming to the Philippines for your treatment of choice.
• An online trip and budget planner is available to give you an estimate of your chosen procedure and travel add ons.
• Once you have decided to come to the Philippines, we shall be sending you additional information on doctors and hospital and clinic facilities. We will be assisting you and giving our referrals on what doctor, and facility would best suit your preferences.
• Based on all the provided information, you will receive a price quotation on the medical travel package which includes the following:
  1. Cost of Medical Procedure – Doctor and Facility Fees
  2. Hospital or Hotel Accommodations (Depending on your preferences and on the requirements of the medical procedure)
  3. Transportation
  4. Extra Services
     1. Interpreter
     2. Private Nurse
     3. VISA Application & Extension
     4. Muslim Requirements
     5. Special Diet (Vegetarian/Halal Certified)

Stage 2 : Planning the Trip 

• Once you have chosen the doctor, we will be sending you requirements that the doctor will need in order to make an initial assessment of your procedure. E.g. Photos, Medical Transcripts, X-Rays, Lab Tests, etc.
• The consultation with your doctor will be scheduled prior to the surgery. Please note that some doctors observe a first come, first serve rule when attending to patients. As such, Contours will ensure that waiting time for patients will be at the minimum and pursue setting appointments only if possible.
• A surgery date will be set-up by Contours with your doctor and facility of choice.
• For seamless arrangements, we will book your trip through LBC Travel for you or you may choose to do that yourself. We offer assistance for travel documentations such as Visa Application if necessary.
• Lodging accommodations will be booked for you.
• Payment details will be sent. A 50% downpayment is required to confirm your booking. Once the payment is confirmed, an acknowledgement letter and provisional receipt will be sent to you. Your official receipt will be given to you personally at the end of your trip once full payment has been received for the package, together with other incidentals you may have incurred.
• A complete itinerary will be sent to you once all details are finalized.

Stage 3 : Your Arrival

• Our airport representative will welcome you and make sure you get through customs with no unnecessary hassles.
• You will be brought personally to your very own Contours Personal Agent.
• A Contours Welcome Kit will be given to you which contains the following:
  1. Itinerary
  2. Mobile Phone with PHP 300 prepaid credits
  3. Information about Manila
  4. Information on tourist destinations in the Philippines if you have not chosen or made a decision on your travel and leisure activities

• Your Contours Personal Agent will be your personal guide during your stay here. You will have a direct line to your personal agent. As such, hotel check-in and check-out, medical appointments, and any concerns should be addressed to your Contours personal agent. The Contours Personal Agent may join you in leisure and wellness trips and tours for an additional fee.
  

• The balance of the package will be collected upon arrival. Please note that only when necessary, a cash or credit card deposit might be required by certain facilities from the guest to guarantee the incidentals that may be incurred outside the package, which must be settled directly by the guest. (e.g. Hotel, Car Rental, etc)

Stage 4 : The Medical Procedure

• Pre-surgery consultation with your doctor will be the first step. Any additional tests, resulting from the actual consultation and as required by the doctor will commence on this day, followed by pre-scheduled medical clearances required by the hospital before the procedure. Fees for such tests are charged separately, if not included in the package.
• Medical surgery procedure to commence.
• Additional hospital expenses, if any, must be settled by the patient before discharge.
• Post-surgery recovery.
• Post-Surgery Holiday: With the doctor’s approval, your choice of leisure activity will be done at this time.
• Follow up check-up with your doctor will be done before you leave. All medical documents you need to take home with you will be given to you at this time.
• End of your Medical Travel Experience.
• All incidentals outside the package must be settled directly by the patient to the concerned facility.
• A Contours Official Receipt will be issued to you for the package and other incidentals. As such, all payments must be made through the authorized Contours representative only and never to partners or suppliers.

Notes:

Payment options include cash, personal/manager’s/ traveler’s check, and VISA/Mastercard credit cards.A copy of the credit card used for the deposit is requested together with your passport upon arrival.
